Coach Keith Beck

"Helping coach my son’s team reconnected me to an activity that I love, and that had provided an invaluable part of my adolescent development.  There were a couple of difficult years as we passed through a couple of coaching changes. Then we had the very good fortune to have Jimmy come back to Mira Costa, and I was very grateful that he welcomed me to stay with the program.  So in my limited role I bridged the gaps created by the coaching changes. And I found myself even more bonded to the team, and came to increasingly admire the tone Jimmy set for the program.  He is a wonderful example of positive coaching: teaching by encouragement and support rather than by criticism and negativity; by hope . And he is a truly fine person."
